EasyServe Privacy Policy

EasyServe measures tennis serve speed using your phone's microphone. The short version: almost everything stays on your phone, there is no account, and the one thing that can be sent anywhere is off unless you switch it on.
What stays on your device
- Video and audio of your session. The audio is analysed on the device and deleted straight afterwards. The video stays on your phone and is removed when you start a new session. Neither is ever uploaded.
- Your speeds, personal best and session counts. Stored locally.
- Clips you save. These go to your own photo library, at your request.
- Your corrections. Used to train a detector tuned to your court. Training happens entirely on the phone.
What can be shared, only if you turn it on
Settings contains a switch called Share my corrections. It is off by default. If you turn it on, the app sends ten acoustic measurements derived from each labelled sound, your verdict for it (serve, net, or not a serve), a random identifier used only to discard duplicate uploads, and the app version.
Audio and video are never sent. The measurements are numbers derived from sound and the original recording cannot be reconstructed from them. No name, email, account, contact details, device identifier, advertising identifier or location is collected. There is no login, because there is nothing to log in to.
This data is used for one purpose: improving the serve detection that ships with the app. You can switch sharing off at any time, and deleting your corrections in Settings removes them from your device.
Tracking and advertising
EasyServe does not track you. There is no advertising, no analytics SDK, no third-party trackers, and no data is sold or shared with data brokers.
Permissions
- Camera to film the court and cut a clip of each serve.
- Microphone to hear the racket and the bounce, which is how the speed is measured.
- Photos (add only) to save a clip, when you ask it to.
Where shared data is stored
Donated measurements are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. The records contain no identifiers, so they cannot be linked back to a person or a device beyond the random id used for de-duplication.
Children
EasyServe is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
